There is a great need for healing throughout the world. The daily celebration of the Eucharist is a reminder to continue the mission of Jesus Christ as healers—healers of broken spirits and those struggling in poverty, homelessness, sickness and neglect. The Brothers of St. John of God are looking for men with compassion and prayer—who are also men of action—to become a part of the ministry.

The Brothers of St. John of God are devoted to the ministry of caring for those in need. Whether our vocation calls upon us to assist a young child with disabilities, an elderly patient, or those suffering from AIDS, our mission is the same: to be of service to others, offering love and compassion and treating them with the dignity they deserve.

The life and role of the Brother of St. John of God is unique in the Church because of our commitment to journey with those who are in need of healing and support. As Brothers, we do this through the example of our Founder, St. John of God.

As Brothers, we serve in many varied roles and services, however, the center of our daily lives is our time spent in prayer and the celebration of the Eucharist. It is through our reflection and examination of our relationship with Jesus that we can truly identify with those we serve and be “Brother” to those who need us most.
